About the Process

If you’re here, you’re probably wondering how the process of buying and having your engagement ring made works. We want to keep it simple and keep you informed. Here’s a breakdown of what happens along the way from ordering your ring to bringing it to your finger.

first step

First things first, you choose your preferred setting, diamond carat weight, metal color and ring size. While this might sound simple, we know this is often one of the most challenging and important decisions that you will make so we recommend taking your time to make sure you know what you want. We are always more than happy to give advice and recommendations so don’t hesitate to get in touch. We know it’s a major investment and want to do everything that we can to make you feel comfortable throughout the process. When you are ready, you can purchase your engagement ring directly through our site or we can invoice you separately if you prefer.

next steps

At this point, you can sit back and relax (or plan your proposal!) and we will take care of the rest. Your ring will be made specifically for you based on your preferred style selections. It all happens in the heart of New York City’s Diamond District and is closely overseen by our team of jewelry and diamond experts. We will source a beautiful colorless VVS1 to VVS2 lab grown diamond in the size and shape of your preference. Sometimes you might get lucky in this process and get a diamond that is 0.1 to 0.2 carats larger than your selected diamond weight. This is based on availability of diamonds that meet our quality standards.

Receiving your Ring

Your ring will be made in about three to four weeks. Please keep in mind that this can vary based on the time of year. The Diamond District basically shuts down for a week around 4th of July and Christmas/New Year’s. We will keep you informed on the progress of your ring and estimated delivery date throughout the process. When your ring is complete, we will ship it via an overnight insured Fedex shipment. We will coordinate the best day with you to make sure you are available to sign for the package. We can also arrange for an in-person pick-up from our Studio in New York’s Diamond District.

After-care

Should you need anything after receiving your ring, we are always happy to help. We highly recommend insuring your ring to protect yourself should accidents happen. We also like to remind clients that it is important to clean your ring and treat it like the precious object it is. Wear and tear does happen so please feel free to contact us if you need repairs, resizing or with any other concerns.
